In end March of this year, a new group of managers and executives will embark on an exciting journey - for the next two and a half years they will read for one of the most prestigious MBAs in the world, the Henley MBA. This group of ambitious men and women, coming from different businesses and managerial functions, will start their journey with a weekend trip to the UK. The programme members will experience the Henley Business School at Henley-on-Thames, where they will interact with the Henley tutors as well as with fellow students coming from Germany, Finland and Hong Kong.
Following this trip, they will have weekend workshops approximately every other month, each time covering a different topic of Business and Management. After each workshop, the programme members have to write an assignment that would be a practical consultative report, supported by the theory learnt, about specific issues and challenges at their place of work, or an issue of their choice. This has double the benefit: the learning experience for the programme member and the practical benefit for the organisation through the specific improvements suggested in the analytical assignment. The latter may also be why most Henley MBA students end up in a better career position even before they finish their MBA. The next intake will be the eighth one since it was re-launched in Malta in 2008, and boasts a student and alumni network of over 600 professionals.
Recently, Allied Consultants, Malta’s Henley Business School Associates, have been entrusted with expanding their reach outside Malta’s borders to attract programme members from all the countries in the Mediterranean basin. This internationalisation prospect has been taken fully on board by the firm, with interest and prospects already appearing in a number of these countries. This promises to make the Maltese intakes even more international then they already are.
Reading the Henley MBA in Malta means that not only will workshops be delivered by experienced and professional trainers, but programme members will also gain from the assistance and guidance provided by dedicated tutors and programme administrators who are available for meetings whenever assistance is required.
